Barcelona Clinch Their 21st La Liga Crown

Barcelona clinched its third straight Spanish league title on Wednesday with a low-key 1-1 draw at Levante. Seydou Keita headed home Xavi Hernandez's sublime pass to put Barcelona ahead in the 28th minute, only to see Levante striker Felipe Caicedo level the score in the 40th after a mistake by Gerard Pique.

Real Madrid's 4-0 victory over Getafe on Tuesday ensured that Barcelona would need at least a point to secure their third consecutive La Liga title, and the defending champions did just enough to return the trophy to Catalonia at the expense of their arch rivals.

It was Barcelona's fifth league crown in seven seasons and 21st in its 111-year history. Real Madrid will finish runner-up for the third consecutive season. With the domestic competition wrapped up with two games remaining, Barcelona can now turn their attention to the Champions League final showdown with Manchester United, on May 28 at London's Wembley Stadium.

Levante 1 - 1 Barcelona

Real Madrid 4 - 0 Getafe
