United Legend Keane Warns Rooney!

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has warns current fans' favourite Wayne Rooney to look after his No 1. England star Rooney's future appears to be in doubt follow ing a bust-up with manager Sir Alex Ferguson. And it was after a similar flashpoint that Keane departed five years ago for Celtic.

Keane said, "Players and managers fall out all the time. It's part of life. If I was to offer advice to Wayne, who is a good lad, I would tell him to make sure he looks after No 1. Players are pieces of meat – that's how I look at it. When your time's up, your time's up. Luckily for Wayne he's at a good age and he's fit. The difference with me is that when my time was up I had a broken foot and I was told a pack of lies."

Keane was also asked if he thought there was any way back for anyone who fell out with the United boss. He said, "It depends on the situation and whether you have been lied to or not. But as usual we are second guessing what has gone on at the club, which is dangerous."

Ex-United skipper Keane won seven Premier League titles, four FA Cups and one Champions League in his 12 years at Old Trafford.
