WC 2010 Day 13 : Video Highlights

England 1 Slovenia 0
A narrow win against the 25th best nation in the world - this would normally be nothing to write about. But beyond the narrow scoreline England found reasons to hope. This was a team who played with freedom for the first time instead of being paralysed once more by the occasion, but how costly it might be to miss out on top spot in Group C, as a result of this, England will play against Germany for a berth in quarter final.

USA 1 Algeria 0
Landon Donovan struck an injury-time winner as the United States sensationally progressed through to the last 16 of the World Cup with a deserved win over Algeria. The United States won its first World Cup match in eight years and finished atop its first-round group for the first time since the original World Cup in 1930. The will play against Ghana on Saturday night in Rustenburg for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Germany 1 Ghana 0
Mesut Oezil scored on a left-footed blast to give Germany a 1-0 victory over Ghana and first place in Group D at the World Cup. Still, Ghana had reason to party. Moments after the game was over, Ghana learned that Australia had defeated Serbia 2-1, a result that meant Ghana took second place in the group and also will move on to the round of 16.

Serbia 1 Australia 2
Australia ended Serbia's quest for the last 16 at the World Cup with a fighting 2-1 victory but it was not enough to take them into the knockout round at the Mbombela Stadium. The Socceroos hit back magnificently in the second half, rocking the Europeans with two goals in four minutes and shredding their highly-rated defence in their best performance of the tournament. Everton midfelder Tim Cahill started it off for the Australians by outjumping Manchester United central defender Nemanja Vidic and heading home in the 69th minute before substitute Brett Holman thumped in a long-range shot four minutes later.
