WC 2010 Day 11 : Video Highlights

Portugal 7 North Korea 0
North Korea kept this Group G game against Portugal competitive for the first 45 minutes, and went in at the break just 1-0 down. I’ve no idea what coach Kim Jong-Hun said at halftime, but if the North Korean players followed his speech to the letter, it appears to have been “Give up, and make as many fundamental defensive errors as possible”. Portugal scored three in the first fifteen minutes of the second half, and three more before full time for a final scoreline of 7-0. An amazing scoreline to match their much improved performance .While Cristiano Ronaldo was excellent in the second half, Carlos Queiroz will be pleased that his side did not rely on him alone to carry their attack.

Chile 1 Switzerland 0
Chile took advantage of 10-man Switzerland and ex-Liverpool player, Mark Gonzalez scored the winner on 75th minute. The turning point for the Swiss was in the 31st minute when Valon Behremi was sent off. It seems like the decission was a bit harsh.

Spain 2 Honduras 0
David Villa scored two goals as Spain got its World Cup pursuit back on track with a 2-0 victory over Honduras. It should has been a hattrick for him but he was unable to convert a penalty kick.
